Facebook Introduces #Hashtags

Facebook Inc, worlds no:1 social networking site, has recently adopted hash tag which is the most recognisable feature of it youngest rival Twitter, in a move to position world’s most superlative social networking site as a vital supplement to television, politics, sports, breaking news and gossips.

Facebook will pile out the feature on its social networking site to make it easier for the advertisers and users to find the hotspots of user activity around specific events or topics.

Twitter was the first site which popularised the hash tag, which appears as the ‘#’ symbol, which allows users to follow specific topics of trends, news and conversation, with the always changing stream of user comments.

Now even Facebook users will also be able to group comment on a topic by just typing hash tag with the keyword, like you can type #abcd (here abcd is assumed as a keyword) at the end of the post and when a user will click on a specific hash tag he/she will directly be taken to write a post or comment about that topic.

Hashtag is a handy system for all social networking users who wants to join the online conversation and make a real time event like debate on political events, sports, movie and so forth and also helps advertisers to reach the specific audience.
